How do you track your kid's homeschool learning?

Writer: Beth LeeBeth Lee

There are many ways and options for tracking your kid's learning records. My favorite way is to KEEP IT SIMPLE! I have developed a simple tracking system and wanted to share!

You can find your own free copy of the Homeschool Vibe Weekly Tracker here!

Here are the instructions (they are included in the free download as well):

INSTRUCTIONS

The Homeschool Vibe Weekly Homeschool Tracker is designed to SIMPLIFY your life! The tracker is a way to help you track your children’s attendance and keep learning records in a simple and efficient way. This book includes 50 weekly trackers to record your family’s homeschool learning for an entire year.

Each week you can print it as a two-page spread or it can be printed double-sided on one sheet of paper. If you prefer to buy the Pre-printed Homeschool Vibe Weekly Tracker you can find that on Amazon, that one comes with the entire school years’ worth of weekly trackers in one easy-to-store book.

Instructions:

1) Fill in the tracker each week – see the sample. Simple bullet lists are fine. Place the tracker in a binder or folder.

2) Take note of the Parent Self-Observation block. This block is designed to help you remain flexible in schooling and to hold on to the Homeschool Vibe mindset which will bring you and your children success and peace.

3) Collect all completed schoolwork samples during the month. Samples are things like reports, worksheets, tests, drawings, etc. Things that show learning took place.

4) Take photos or videos of any learning activity that your child did that does not produce a work sample i.e., playing guitar, reading aloud, exercise, science experiments, field trips, theater, etc.

5) At the end of each month choose their best samples from each subject, store the samples (including photos) in a folder with that month’s weekly tracker sheets.

6) Repeat each month of the school year.

7) At the end of the year store all the samples and tracker sheets in a folder or binder for that year.
